How we calculate the Lifecycle & Supportability Insight and why might it be empty
How do we calculate this Insight?
Block 64 is able to gather the version of installed software it discovers. The “Latest Version” of a product is determined by finding the most up to date version of the product in the customers software inventory. Outdated versions are calculated by comparing all other versions to the “Latest Version”. Any versions that are older than the “Latest Version” are considered outdated. Your “Outdated Major Versions” are the number of installs that do not have a major version that matches the “Latest Version” of that product. Your “Outdated Minor Versions” is equal to the to the count of installs that have the same major version but have an earlier minor version. Your “Total Outdated Versions” is the count of all installs that are running versions of software that do not match the “Latest Version” of the product.
Why might this Insight be empty or missing data?
There are two reasons why you may be missing data in this report. First, you may not be gathering any local software data. You may need to deploy one of our discovery products or work with our support team to troubleshoot existing deployments. Second, your software may all be running on the same verions. This would mean that you do not have nonstandard installs and so none of your data would be outdated.
