Security : EndPoint : Endpoint Vulnerabilities

How we calculate the Endpoint Vulnerabilities Insight and why might it be empty

How do we calculate this Insight?

Block 64 can identify a number of security vulnerabilities. This includes missing an installation of an antivirus, end of life operating systems, and software vulnerabilities.  A lack of antivirus and end of life status are determined by our Software Library. Some products are categorized as Antiviruses in the library and end of life dates are kept there as well.

Software Vulnerabilities are determined by comparing software to the National Vulnerabilities Database.

The Insight calculated here is based on the number of devices running a certain type of operating system, such as Windows or CentOS, that have one of the exposures mentioned above.

Why might this Insight be empty or missing data?

If you are not seeing an Insight on this report, it could be for a few reasons. First, we may not have gathered any local discovery data through our agentless or agent-based discovery tools. You would need to deploy one of these products to gather the data required.

We may also not have end of life data or know a certain product is an antivirus. This cases, you may want to escalate to our support team to review.

Finally, it is possible that all your devices are fully protected against the vulnerabilities identified in this report.
