How we calculate the OS & App Standards Insight and why might it be empty

How do we calculate this Insight?

Block 64 compares your discovered installed software and operating systems against publicly available software lifecycle data. Not every product has publicly available support dates.

A product is considered “Supported” if there is a known release data and we have not passed the end of support date. A product will be considered “Unsupported” if we have passed the end of support date.  A product will be considered “Approaching” if we are within 90 days of the end of support date. A product’s status will be “Unknown” if we do not have a support date listed.

Calculations made in the graph are based around these statuses. “Unsupported Installs” is calculated by taking all software that is “Unsupported” and summing the “Install Qty” column.

“Installs Approaching End of Support” is calculated by taking the sum of “Install Qty”  of products with the “Approaching” status.

“Total Outdated Versions” is the sum of “Unsupported Installs” and “Installs Approaching End of Support”

Why might this Insight be empty or missing data?

This report is typically empty or missing data for two reasons. First, we may not have any installed software or operating system data from your environment. Second, we may not have support dates for your products. As not all products list their support timelines, we may not know when the product goes end of life.

If you feel there is a data point missing, please raise a support ticket, and a member of our support team can work with you to add any missing details.
