ITAM : SaaS : Estimated Annual Savings
How we calculate the Estimated Annual Savings Insight and why might it be empty
How do we calculate this Insight?
When an integration is made between Block 64 and a service that provides SaaS licensing data, Block 64 will list your entitlements. Data can be enriched by our Software Library, which contains information on software costs and licensing models based on publicly available information. Something is considered recoverable if it is not assigned or if it is assigned but not in use. Each product you are entitled to has a recoverable cost that is equal to the unit cost of each recoverable entitlement. Your Estimated Annual Savings is the sum of all recoverable costs in your environment.
Why might this Insight be empty or missing data?
There are a few reasons why you may not have data populating in this section. First, you may not have provided Block 64 with access to any of these services. If you navigate to the “Integrations” section of the portal, you will be able to configure these connections.
If you have already configured the connection, then there may not be any recoverable software. If your products are fully in use, then we would not expect there to be any recoverable costs.
Finally, if there is recoverable software, then it may be the case that we do not have information on the unit cost for that product. In this case you can work with our success team to add in the missing information.
