ITAM : SaaS : Active User Count by Publisher

How we calculate the Active User Count by Publisher Insight and why might it be empty

How do we calculate this Insight?

Block 64 can gather data on SaaS products by connecting directly into a software publisher’s API or by connecting into an SSO or OAuth product reviewing authentication logs. Users can configure these connections in the “Integrations” section of the analytics portal

A list of users can be gathered with both methods. Usage is determined by tracking the last login date of the user. The last login date can be gathered from SSO, OAuth, and some direct API connections. Some software publishers do not expose last login date. An active user is a user who has logged into the service in the last 30 days.

The chart on this report shows the number of unique active users who have logged into a service related to the publisher.

Why might this Insight be empty or missing data?

This Insight may appear blank for two reasons. First, you may not set up any integrations. This can be done in the “Integrations” section of our analytics portal. Second, you may be connected into a service that does not provide last login data, and so we may not be able to determine user activity.
