Adding the Google Workspace - SSO Logs Integration and Its Associated Insights

Overview

The Google Workspace – SSO Logs connection in Block 64 enables secure, read-only access to SSO-related audit logs, usage reports, and user details from your Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) environment.

This integration provides visibility into authentication activity, helping track login patterns and monitor SSO usage across your organization.

Once connected, the data collected from this integration appears in the following Block 64 Insights report:

  • Reports → SaaS → Usage

    • Displays authentication events, SSO activity logs, and user-level sign-in metrics.

The credentials needed for this Integration

To set up this integration, you’ll need:

  • A Google Workspace account with Administrator privileges.

  • Permissions to approve OAuth app access for your organization.

  • The ability to grant read-only scopes for audit logs, usage reports, and basic user information.

How to add this Integration

  1. In the Block 64 portal, navigate to Integrations → Google Workspace – SSO Logs.

  2. Enter your Admin email and click Connect.

  3. Sign in with a Google Workspace admin account.

  4. On the Permissions request screen for Block 64 – SSO Connection (Read-Only), review and approve the following read-only access:

  5. Click Allow to authorize the integration.

Why is this Integration failing?

If the integration isn’t working, it’s usually because the app hasn’t been granted the correct permissions, the original authorization has expired, or your Google Workspace security settings are blocking the connection.

The quickest fix is to reconnect using an administrator account and ensure all required scopes are approved.

You can also review Security → API Controls → App Access Control in the Google Admin Console to confirm the Block 64 app is allowed for your domain.

How to remove this Integration

From Block 64:

You can disable this integration temporarily by clicking on the Enable switch in the integration.

Alternatively, you can disconnect the integration entirely by clicking on the Disconnect button.

 From Google Workspace:

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin Console.

  2. Navigate to Security → API Controls → App Access Control.

  3. Locate the Block 64 – SSO Connection (Read-Only) app.

  4. Remove or block the app to revoke its access.
