Adding the DocuSign Integration and Its Associated Insights

Overview

The DocuSign connection in Block 64 enables secure, read-only access to user and account data across your organization's DocuSign environment. DocuSign is a leading electronic signature and agreement management platform used by organizations to prepare, send, sign, and manage documents digitally.

Block 64 integrates with your DocuSign account and syncs the list of users and their status and connects to the Product Library for the most recent pricing data available. Once connected, the data collected from this integration appears in the following Block 64 Insights report:

Reports → IT Asset Management → SaaS → Usage

User activity data based on DocuSign users and their current status.

Note:

  • Usage activity data (based on envelope and template activity) is available for DocuSign Enterprise plan accounts only.

  • DocuSign does not make available for the current licensing plan via their API, only assigned license information can be retrieved.

The Credentials Needed for This Integration

To set up this integration, you'll need:

A DocuSign account with Administrator for access to your organization's DocuSign environment.

Admin Email address associated with your DocuSign administrator account. Block 64 uses this email to initiate the delegated OAuth authorization flow with DocuSign.

Note: The Block 64 DocuSign integration uses read-only delegated permissions, it cannot create, close, modify, delete, or transfer any users or documents in your DocuSign environment.

How to Add This Integration

  1. In the Block 64 Insights portal, navigate to Integrations → DocuSign.

  2. Enter the Admin Email address of your DocuSign administrator account in the field provided.

  3. Ensure the Integration Connection toggle is set to Enabled.

  4. Click Connect. You will be redirected to the official DocuSign authorization screen.

  5. Sign in with your DocuSign administrator credentials and complete the OAuth authorization flow to grant Block 64 the required delegated permissions.

Once authorized, you will be redirected back to the Block 64 portal, where the DocuSign connection will be active, and data collection will begin on the next scheduled collection cycle.

Why Is This Integration Failing?

If the integration isn't working, it's usually because the OAuth authorization was not completed, has since been revoked within DocuSign, or the Admin Email entered does not belong to an account with the required administrator permissions. It may also fail if the DocuSign account has been deactivated or had its admin access changed.

To resolve:

  • Confirm that the Admin Email entered belongs to an active DocuSign administrator account.

  • Check whether the OAuth authorization has been revoked, if Block 64 no longer appears under your DocuSign connected applications, the connection will need to be re-established.

  • Ensure the DocuSign account has not been suspended, downgraded, or had its admin permissions changed since the integration was set up.

  • Re-enter the Admin Email in Block 64 and click Connect to restart the authorization flow.

How to Remove This Integration

From Block 64:

You can disable this integration temporarily by toggling the Integration Connection toggle, this pauses data collection without deleting your saved credentials. To remove the integration entirely, click the Disconnect button.

Note: Disconnecting this integration will stop data flow, potentially impact reporting accuracy, and system insights.

To permanently delete all previously collected DocuSign data, use the Delete Data option, this action cannot be undone.

From DocuSign:

  1. Sign in to your DocuSign administrator account.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Integrations.
  3. Locate the Block 64 connection and remove it to fully revoke access.

Security & Privacy
