Insights SaaS Overview
The overview page for SaaS is organized into two primary sections: Licensing and Usage. Each section contains detailed tables and charts that provide key insights into software costs and user activity.
Licensing
This section focuses on the financial aspects of SaaS management, helping organizations understand their software spending and potential savings.
Estimated Annual Savings and Total Annual Cost
At the top of the Licensing section, two cards provide high-level financial metrics:
- Estimated Annual Savings displays potential cost savings by optimizing or eliminating unused licenses.
- Total Annual Cost shows the total expenditure on SaaS licenses across all publishers.
Estimated Cost by Publisher
This detailed bar chart breaks down the total cost per year by publisher. It provides a side-by-side comparison of:
Consumed Cost represented in blue bars.
Recoverable Cost shown in green bars, indicating potential savings from unused or underutilized licenses.
The chart helps identify the most expensive publishers and highlights areas where costs can be recovered. A link labeled "View All Publishers" allows users to access a more detailed report on each publisher’s costs.
Usage
This section tracks user activity across different software publishers to help organizations understand utilization and justify spending.
Active User Count by Publisher
This bar chart displays the number of active users per publisher over the last 30 days. Each publisher is represented by a distinct color, making it easy to compare user activity levels. This data is crucial for identifying popular tools and justifying license renewals or cancellations. The chart also includes a "View All Publishers" link for more in-depth analysis.
All Publishers Overview
At the bottom of the page, a summary of major software vendors is presented in individual cards, showcasing:
Total Cost of Licenses for each vendor, reflecting the overall expenditure.
Total Recoverable Cost indicating potential savings from unused licenses.
View Publisher buttons that provide detailed cost and usage analytics for each vendor.
Connect option for vendors that aren’t currently integrated, as seen with Adobe, enabling further data synchronization and cost tracking.
This section prominently features leading vendors such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and Adobe, offering a quick financial overview and the ability to explore further details or connect new services.
