This report provides an in-depth analysis of virtual machines (VMs) hosted by major public cloud providers. It enables users to track cloud VM expenses, analyze service costs, and review service provider details for effective cost management and resource optimization. 

What This Report Shows 

The report offers comprehensive insights into virtual machine-related expenditures and usage across different cloud providers. Key sections include: 

  • Total Compute cost – Displays the total expenditure on cloud-hosted virtual machines on last month. 

  • Cost Change – Cost change from last month. 

  • All Compute Costs – Provides a breakdown of Service expenses by vendor, allowing visibility into licensing and Service-related costs. 

  • All Service Providers – Lists providers, SKUs, VM quantity, associated costs, and linked accounts/subscriptions for better cost attribution and allocation. 

Users can export the report for further analysis.

  • Total Cost of VMs – Aggregation of all VM-related expenses across cloud providers. 
  • Service Costs – Summarized by extracting vendor-specific licensing and service usage expenses. 
  • All Service Provider Data – Collected from cloud provider APIs, categorizing each VM instance by provider, SKU, quantity, cost, and subscription association.
